Urgent opening for a software engineer with 5-year experience in Oracle DBA, needed in Qatar salary up to 12000 Riyal.

Roles 3 / Senior DBA on Oracle 10g & 11 / Minimum 5 Years experience on Production Databases.

Job Responsibilities :

• Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
• Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
• Take care of the Database design and implementation
• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
• Perform application tuning and performance monitoring
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
• Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
• Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams
• Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
• Patch Management and Version Control
• DBA Skills Required§  Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities, and tools
• A good understanding of the underlying operating system
• Good knowledge of the physical database design
• Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
• Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
• Good knowledge of Oracle security management
• Good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources
• Good knowledge of Oracle data integrity
• Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems
• Experience in code migration, database change management, and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
•  Sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning
•  A DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators
•  Provide a strategic database direction for the organization
•  A DBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
•  A DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business

System Control Engineer Job Vacancy in Qatar 

Position - System Control Engineer 

Job Location - Qatar

Experience: 

Electrical graduate along with more than 7 years of experience in the Electric Transmission System of which a minimum of 3+years of supervisory experience in Power Grid (Experience in Central / State Power Grid) caliber of the candidate should be Load experience in the Control Center of National OR State Electricity Transmission Grid.

Responsibility :

• Has good experience in switching operations and commissioning procedures of HV / EHV equipment considering the safety rules of power system operation and has enough knowledge about different types of testing required before, during, and after energizing same time need to update all work progress with managers
• Ensures the safety, reliability, and security of the electricity generation and Transmission network, by supervising the entire electricity supply process from the Dispatch Centers utilizing the SCADA software and need to maintain all records. 
• Directs the switching operations by giving instructions to field engineers for switching in the transmission network and primary substations for commissioning activities.
• Issues Permit to Work (PTW), Sanction for Test (SFT), isolation & earthing certificates, and other safety documents as per requirement for work in the field and ensure appropriate safety standards.
