Over 2,500 UAE jobs open tomorrow- Will you get an instant offer letter? Be ready
List of which companies are hiring!
Many candidates are pinning hopes on the Tawdheef Recruitment Show, which will open tomorrow to nationals and residents of the country. The show that will run for three days with major companies participating is likely to be the platform for many on the look-out for jobs. But, attending the show need not translate into getting a job immediately. A young candidate who Emirates 24|7 spoke with sounded very hopeful that one of the companies will hand him out an offer letter.
Commenting on the entire recruitment process, the exhibition organisers clarified that the job fair caters to candidates and offers them employment opportunities but it may not offer instant offer letters on the spot.“Normally, while many exhibitors will conduct on-site interviews, very rarely will they offer a position at the show itself.
“The standard procedure is to collect as much information about potential candidates as possible during the three-days at the event, then a review process will shortlist the best candidates for the open positions, at which time they will then either be offered a position, or be invited for the next recruitment phase. Of course, each exhibitor has their own processes,” Hayete Jemai, exhibition director of Tawdheef told Emirates 24|7.Refusing to comment on the starting salaries being offered at the show, the organisers said that this is totally under the preview of the participating companies.
“Generally such information is naturally confidential and only made available to successful candidates once they are offered a position,” Jemai added.Job fairs are normally associated for young talent and those fresh out of college. However, this is not the case with Tawdheef Recruitment Show.Organisers have claimed that the show will see many positions open up for senior personnel as well. “The show caters to both undergraduates who are entering the UAE workforce for the first time, and experienced professionals looking to make the next step in their careers,” said the Tawdheef official.
Taking place until Thursday 31 January at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the Tawdheef Recruitment Show is expected to attract upwards of 12,000 Emirati job seekers over three days, as they look to vie for one of the 2,500 jobs posted on the event website.Vacancies posted by exhibitors include Optometrists and Anaesthesia Technicians at Oasis Hospital, Graduate Chemical and Civil Engineers at Petrofac, and Electrical Engineers and HSE Coordinators at General Holding Corporation – SENAAT.And while there are at least 2,500 jobs up for grabs at the show, Jemai said that the actual number of available vacancies is far greater, since many employers can’t put an exact figure on how many openings they will have throughout 2013.Other major employers taking part in 2013 include Titanium Sponsor, Presidential Guard; Platinum Sponsors National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Police, and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank; Gold Sponsors ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority; Silver Sponsors Etihad Airways and Khalifa Fund, and Registration Sponsor Abu Dhabi Airports Company.
